William Riddick, PT, DPT

CLINICAL RESEARCHER

Will completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2016 from Virginia Commonwealth University. His clinical rotations during his education led him to pursue a primary interest of serving those with gait and balance impairments. In this interest, he currently works as a physical therapist at Lawrence Rehabilitation - The Gait Center in Richmond, VA, improving the mobility of a wide variety of patients. Outside of clinic hours, Will teaches a group exercise class for individuals with Parkinson’s disease that helps participants move better, faster, and with greater fitness. He also volunteers at the VCU CARES Clinic, a pro-bono physical therapy clinic, where he supervises Virginia Commonwealth University Doctor of Physical Therapy students providing treatment for people who cannot afford physical therapy services.

Will is excited to combine clinical and research viewpoints in order to develop research that is relevant to rehabilitation professionals. He is also looking forward to being able to promote education in the area of gait and balance, connecting people with the resources they need to make positive changes in the mobility of patients with gait impairments.

Will lives in Mechanicsville, VA with his wife Kristin. Outside of work hours he enjoys cooking, playing music, searching out great coffee, and outdoor adventures.
